At least four employees of the National Radio Television (RTA) network and two security force members were killed and 18 civilians wounded after a group of five militants loyal to Daesh attacked the network on Wednesday morning.
Nangarhar police said four attackers were killed and one was arrested during the raid.
The Anti-Corruption Criminal Justice Center’s (ACJC) Appeals Court on Wednesday overturned a previous sentence in the Kamran Alizaee, head of Herat Provincial Council, case and reduced his sentence to eight months in prison.
Alizaee had initially been sentenced to two and a half years in prison by the ACJC’s primary court.
