Rashid Looks Set To Shine Again for SRH Against KXIP

Rashid Khan Arman, Afghanistan’s IPL export for Sunrises Hyderabad (SRH), looks set to once again shine for his team in Monday’s match against Kings of XI Punjab (KXIP).

Both teams will eye a return to their winning ways when they come up against each other in Match 19 of IPL 2017. Defending champions SRH started the season with two wins, before stumbling against Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders.

KXIP’s story has been pretty similar too; they registered comprehensive wins in their first two matches, before losing to KKR and Delhi Daredevils.

However, Rashid, ranked 6th in the top 10 bowlers in this season’s IPL, is a key player for his team – having taken wickets in all his overs so far for the Orange Army.

The outcome of this match will depend to a huge extent on which of the two Australians – David Warner or Glenn Maxwell captain of SRH and KXIP respectively – does more damage with the bat.

Both teams are undefeated on home ground, but are yet to win an away match this season. Monday’s match will however be played at the Orange Army’s home ground in Hyderabad.

David Warner has scored six half-centuries in 13 matches against KXIP; his last five scores against KXIP read 52, 59, 81, 58 and 44.

Rashid Khan’s victims in IPL 2017 include Gautam Gambhir, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Aaron Finch and Brendon McCullum.

The match will start Monday (March 17) at 7pm Kabul time at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad. The match will be broadcast live on Lemar TV.
