Afghanistan Qualifies For U19 WC 2018

Team Afghanistan opened its way to the 2018 ICC Under-19 World Cup after its glorious win against Nepal in their last match of the World Cup Qualifier in Singapore on Tuesday. 

It was Afghanistan’s second match against Nepal in the WC qualifiers.

In this match, Afghanistan won the toss and chose to bat first and scored 196 runs in 46 overs.

The Afghan squad once again displayed wonderful play. 

The national U19 member Embrahim Zadran made 101 runs, Nawid Obaid 22 runs and Ekram Afzali obtained 24 runs in this match.

However, the Nepal U19s could not complete the given target by making 99 runs in 41 overs by losing all their wickets. 

Meanwhile, Mujib Zadran got three wickets, Yusuf Zadai two wickets, Shams Walikhail, Tariq Stanikzai and Zahir Pakteen each got one wicket from Singapore.

The national U19 team got the cup of the competition while having six back-to-back wins against Singapore, Nepal and Malaysia. 

Ebrahim Zadran was declared man of the match by making a century plus one runs.

The U19s are all set to return home on Wednesday.
