Gun fight between private security guards killed two police in southern province of Kandahar on Monday night, reports say.
The clash between guards of Haji Gulalai's private security company occurred around 9:30 pm last night. One Afghan police was also wounded.
Reports say that nine private security guards have been killed or injured in the clashes
Meanwhile, Kandahar's Police chief General Abdul Razzaq confirmed the incident but declined to provide more details.
The private company is providing security guards for Nato-led international forces in Afghanistan.
The incident comes as Afghan President Hamid Karzai has ordered the Afghan Ministry of Interiors to shut down all private security providers and assign police force instead.
