Recently Afghan writers gathered in the yard of Afghanistan PEN Centre in Kabul for the poetry recital, A Moment with Poeticality, organised for the young Afghan poet Jamqubad Shola.

The gathering also served as a farewell to Jamqubad Shola who was leaving Afghanistan for the United States to continue his studies there.
Shola read out some of his poems and some of his friends also spoke about memories of their time together.
Afghanistan PEN is one of the centres of International PEN and was established in Kabul with the support of the Norwegian government and Norwegian PEN.
