Afghanistan went to the top of the ICC Intercontinental Cup table with 229-runs victory over Scotland on Saturday
Fast bowler Hamid Hassan took five wickets for 114 runs as Scotland, set a target of 546 runs, was bowled out for 316 runs in their second innings on the fourth and final day.
Scotland was struggling in this match after making just 139 runs, with Hassan taking six for 40, in reply to Afghanistan's first innings 435.
Ewan Chalmers made 67 in Scotland's second innings -- their best individual score of the match -- but that was as nothing compared to Afghanistan hundreds from Samiullah Shenwari and Mohammad Shahzad.
But the Scots eventually lost their final wicket, that of Matt Parker, in the 111th over.
Afghanistan took its first wicket in the 13th over of the morning, Richie Berrington falling to Abdullah.
Cricket is a new and unpopular game in Afghanistan, and the Afghan Olympics Committee is planning to prepare conditions for the development of this game in the future.
