AFC Holds Training Sessions For Football Coaches

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has organized a one-month training program for Afghan coaches where they will be trained in modern tactics and if successful the coaches will be awarded an A-Grade certificate, officials at the Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) said on Saturday.

“One of my wishes was that our coaches will be able to be trained in A-Grade football classes and now my wish has come true. This can improve football and will lead us towards professionalism,” the AFF chairman Kramuddin Karim said.

Meanwhile, Nadir Arabi, an AFC trainer, said: “The A-Grade certificate of the AFC is one of the best documents in coaching in the world. It will open up the way for Afghan coaches.”

“This training reveals that football and the football clubs have improved in the country. We will be trained in new tactics of coaching in this training,” said Moeen Hamidi, a coach for Herat’s Toofan Harirod Football Club.

At the moment, only two Afghan coaches have A-Grade certificates from the AFC. They are Yusuf Kargar and Tahir Raufi.
