President Ashraf Ghani said at the inauguration ceremonies of two industrial factories in Herat on Independence Day that King Amanullah gained political independence and that today, by investing in industrial parks, will gain our economic independence.

A number of economic affairs analysts and investors however said investment infrastructures are not completely ready for investment. They pointed to the lack of power, water, insecurity and corruption as challenges in the way of investments.
