United States forces in Afghanistan the Afghan National Army's (ANA) Special Forces are jointly preparing to eliminate Daesh militants in Afghanistan’s north, especially in Faryab province, Pentagon officials have said.

According to the Pentagon, the US forces and the Afghan Special Forced have photographed and surveyed the Daesh militants’ strongholds in Faryab and Jawzjan provinces from the air and these hideouts are soon to be targeted from the air and on the ground.

The Afghan Interior Ministry has said in these operations the Afghan and US soldiers will eliminate Deash operatives in the two provinces.
