At least 16 Taliban insurgents were killed in clashes on Monday in Ghazni province, local officials claimed. 

Ghazni police said that during the clashes 13 other Taliban insurgents were wounded. 

According to police, the clashes broke out on Monday in three villages, close to each other, in Muqur district. 

At least one local police officer and two local uprisers were killed and three others were wounded in the clash. Police also confirmed five Taliban’s motorcycles and a vehicle were seized by the security forces. 

The Taliban has not yet commented.
