Officials of the Independent Administrative Reforms and Civil Services Commission (IARCSC) on Wednesday said that it has registered over 225,000 candidates that will compete for about 18,000 positions in government institutions nationwide. 

From among the 225,000 candidates, 18,000 will be hired for various government institutions across the country, said IARCSC chairman Nader Nadery. 

According to Nadery, currently there about 6,000 vacancies in 56 government institutions which candidates will compete for in the near future. 

From the total number of 280,000 applicants, 225,000 were shortlisted. Of these 9,000 have applied for teaching posts. 

“The list has been published and it is available on the commission’s website; copies of the list will be published by the commission’s provincial headquarters so that we can distribute these lists even to the districts,” said Nadery. 

He said that the commission will start the hiring process from the first week of the next solar month of Dalwa (January) and will wrap up the process by the end of the month. 

“Elites and academic figures have been asked to make the questions at the level of fifth or sixth grades,” said Muqadasa Yurish, a member of the reform commission.

Nadery meanwhile said that 6,682 posts have been vacant for over two years in at least 56 institutions. 

“Ministries need to send us their plans by next week and start their hiring programs,” said Nadery. 

IARCSC recently hired over 700 candidates in the government procurement offices.
