At least 25 armed insurgents including four Daesh militants were killed during Afghan security forces operations in the past 24 hours in different parts of the country, the Ministry of Defense said on Wednesday.
According to the MoD’s statement, during the operations 20 other insurgents were wounded.
The operations were conducted in Nangarhar, Laghman, Kapisa, Ghazni, Paktia, Urozgan, Zabul, Badghis, Faryab, Balkh and Helmand provinces, MoD said.
Four Daesh militants were killed in Khogyani district of Nangarhar province, the MoD‘s statement said.
The ministry said that during the past 24 hours security forces conducted 12 clearing operations, 70 special operations, 93 supportive air operations and 10 airstrikes against enemy hideouts.
During the operations motorbikes and weapons were seized by security forces.
No details were provided about the security forces’ casualties during the operations.
Taliban has not yet commented about the operations.
