Afghan Soldier Opens Fire At Foreign Troops In Balkh

A soldier from 209 Shaheen Corps Headquarters in Balkh opened fire at four foreign soldiers in Dehdadi district in the province on Saturday afternoon. 

The spokesman for the corps, Abdul Qahar Aram, said the four soldiers, who were trainers, are wounded in the incident and have been taken to hospital. 

The attacker was killed by his colleagues following the shooting. 

The motive for the incident and the identity of the foreign forces is not known yet.

Two months ago the same base came under attack by Taliban insurgents. At least 200 soldiers and officers were killed and dozens others were wounded.
