Afghanistan To Face Bangladesh In World Cup Qualifiers

Afghanistan’s National Football Team to host Bangladesh on Tuesday night in Tajikistan in the 2022 FIFA World Cup and 2023 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers.

The match will be held in Dushanbe, capital of Tajikistan at 6:30pm Kabul time on Tuesday night, September 10.

“Bangladesh has also made it’s perpetration for the match and I think is two or three week that are in Tajikistan but it’s a match that we must win,” Afghanistan football team's coach Anosh Dastger said ahead of the match. 

Members of Afghanistan’s national team said they hope to get a good result at the event.

“We want 100 percent to win this match and I think our team is stronger than Bangladesh,” national team’s captain Farshad Noor said.

Afghanistan lost their first match in the competition 6-0 to host Qatar last week.

Afghanistan has a win against Bangladesh in 2015 in the Asian computation in which it defeated its rival 4-0.

The Afghan squad is playing in Group E of the qualifiers against Qatar, Bangladesh, Oman and India.
