Clash In Ghazni Between US-Afghan Convoy And Militants

Three Taliban fighters and one child were killed on Sunday in an airstrike in Andar district in the central province of Ghazni, the media office of US Forces in Afghanistan, USFOR-A, confirmed on Monday. 

The airstrike was called in when a partnered Afghan-U.S. mission in the Andar district of Ghazni was fired on by rocket-propelled grenades and small arms fire. 

“The RPG fire from the compound struck one of the patrol vehicles, disabling it without injury to its crew,” the statement added. 

Ghazni police claimed that at least six Taliban fighters were killed in the operation, and specified Afghan Special Forces as the unit involved.
