Former finance minister of Afghanistan and a lecturer at University of Bonn, Haidar Dawar, passed away in Germany at the age of 89 years old.
Along with political and academic activities, he was also a writer and a poet.
Dawar left the country to Germany after Mohammad Daud’s coup in 1973.
From 1974, he was a permanent lecturer at University of Bonn.
Dawar was born in Bagh-e-Ali Mardan area in Kabul City in 1929.
His father, Ghulam Hussain Khan, was an employee of the Royal Ministry of the time.
