A suicide car bomber detonated his explosives close to a compound housing foreign contractors on Saturday morning. 

The incident took place shortly after 9am in Dispichari area in Kabul’s PD9. 

The Ministry of Interior initially confirmed two people had been killed but later revised that figure to three.

The MoI also said four others were wounded. 

Sources meanwhile said the target had been a private security firm’s vehicle. 

Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
