Ghani Off To Astana To Attend OIC Meeting

President Ashraf Ghani on Saturday afternoon left Kabul to attend the first Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) meeting on science and technology that will be held in Kazakhstan in Astana city, the presidential palace said in a statement.

According to the statement the meeting will be attended by leaders of the OIC member countries.

Ghani will spend two days in Kazakhstan. 

According to the statement, Ghani will meet with a number of OIC member countries leaders on the sidelines of the science and technology meeting.

A few months ago Ghani attended the 17th summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Astana. 

Afghanistan and Kazakhstan are members of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).

Ghani left Kabul in Saturday for Kazakhstan where he will attend a science and technology meeting held by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
