Ghani Discusses Afghan Peace With Saudi King

President Ashraf Ghani in a phone call with Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz discussed the Afghan peace, Presidential Palace said in a statement on Saturday. 
  
In this conversation, Ghani thanked Saudi King for its role in the Afghan peace process, said the statement. 
  
According to the statement, President Ghani appreciated Saudi Arabia's role to promote peace and stability in Afghanistan and said the Jeddah conference is a good step forward for the next movements in peace. 
  
Meanwhile, King Salman said Saudi Arabia will continue to help peace in Afghanistan and that they believe in an Afghan-owned and Afghan-led peace process, the statement said. 
  
This comes after Saudi Arabia attended meetings between US and Taliban representatives in Abu Dhabi.
