At least two civilians were killed in an IED blast in Khost province, local officials said, adding that the incident took place in Khost city at around 12am local time.
The explosive device was placed on a motorbike and detonated at a market, said Gul Habib Shah, the provincial public health director.
He said 23 others were wounded in the explosion.
No group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
This come a day after at least six civilians were killed and six others were wounded in an IED explosion in in Paktika province in the neighborhood of Khost.
