India FM Calls On 'Terror-Funding States' To Destroy Terror Camps

The Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj on Friday in a meeting organized by the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation said the states that fund and support terror must stop it in order to save humanity.

Swaraj attended the meeting of OIC Foreign Ministers as a special guest and in reaction to this, Pakistan Foreign Minister did not appear at the meeting.

Addressing the gathering, Swaraj said today terrorist activities are growing and taking lives of the innocent people and that the sanctuaries of terrorist groups must be dismantled.

“If we want to save the humanity then we must tell the states who provide shelter and funding to the terrorists, to dismantle the infrastructure of the terrorist camps and stop providing funding and shelter to the terror organisations, based in that country,” said Swaraj.

Swaraj went on and said the terrorist are carrying out terrible activities in Asia, North Africa, Europe, North America, Afghanistan and in India.

Her remarks come after the recent tensions between the New Delhi and Islamabad that happened after the Indian air forces bombed militants’ hideout in Pakistan.

“And we are witnessing the terrible daily destruction, in senseless terrorist violence. It is destroying lives, destabilising regions, and putting the world at great peril. The reach of terror is growing, its lethality is increasing and the toll it is taking is rising. In the rich diversity of Southeast Asia, in West Asia and the Gulf, in North Africa and Sahel region, in Europe and North America, in Afghanistan, Bangladesh and India we see the terrible face of terror,” Swaraj added.

Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi ahead of the meeting said he would not attend the meeting and instead lower ranking officials will represent Islamabad in the meeting.
