Afghanistan's National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA) on Sunday warned that the current level of environmental pollution in the capital Kabul is a concern and that this would have serious repercussions on people’s health.

According to NEPA, unpaved roads and the use of low quality fuel are two of the key reasons for the pollution.  

Currently Kabul is ranked as the 7th most polluted capital in Asia.
