The Ministry of Defense (MoD) on Thursday confirmed that more than ten civilians were killed during an operation in Char Dara district of Kunduz province. 
 
In a statement issued by the MoD it was stated that a team of high-ranking officials has been sent to the area to investigate the incident. 
 
However the Taliban said in a statement that more than 28 civilians were killed in the operation.  

No further details were given.
