Multiple Blasts At Nangarhar Stadium Leave Eight Dead

At least eight people were killed following three back to back explosions at a stadium in Jalalabad City, in the eastern Nangarhar province, local officials confirmed.

The explosions happened when a big crowd were watching a cricket match at a local stadium in the city, provincial governor spokesman Attaullah Khogyani told TOLOnews.

He said 45 people were wounded in the explosions.

Hedayatullah Zahir, an organizer of the cricket tournament, and Dr Nikmal, deputy mayor of Mehtarlam City of Laghman province, are among those killed in the blasts, provincial governor's office said.

The match was part of a cricket tournament held between local teams to mark Ramadan, Khogyani said.

Taliban denies any involvement in the Jalalabad blasts.
