A Nato helicopter has crashed in southern Afghanistan on Wednesday, killing one ISAF service-member, the Nato-led coalition said in a statement.
ISAF did not disclose nationality of the service-member and exact location of the incident. Mostly US and British forces are based in southern Afghanistan.
"One International Security Assistance Force service members died following a helicopter crash in southern Afghanistan today," it said.
According an Afghan security official in Kandahar, who didn't want to be named, the incident occurred late Wednesday evening in Marouf district of Kandahar province when the helicopter crashed with a Telecom tower.
The official says that as many as 15 people were wounded in the incident.
