At least one killed, and six others were wounded in a magnetic mine blast in western Herat province on Wednesday evening, eyewitnesses said.

The incident happened close to the house of a military chief of 207 Zafar Military Corps after a magnetic IED was attached to a vehicle and detonated, according to eyewitnesses.

“One civilian was killed and six others were wounded,” an eyewitness said.

However, officials have not yet commented on the explosion.

No group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the blast.
