The National Directorate of Security (NDS) said in statement on Saturday that a plotter of suicide attack on a mass rally by Enlightenment Movement in Kabul was killed in an operation by security forces in Nangarhar province.

Mawlawi Abdul Qayum known as Shaheen Khorasani, who plotted the attack on the movement, and Mawlawi Farooq, a Daesh commander in Dewan Baba area of Achin district were killed in the operation, the NDS said in the statement.

According to the NDS, Khorasani commanded 200 Daesh militants in the area.

The attack on the rally last year killed more than 80 people and wounded 300 others.
