Rocket Lands In Kabul’s Green Zone

A rocket landed in Kabul’s highly-protected area, the green zone, on Monday evening, Interior Ministry's deputy spokesman Nusrat Rahimi confirmed. 

Rahimi said the rocket had no casualties. 

The rocket landed in 14th Street of Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan close to Canadian Embassy in Kabul’s PD10, he said. 

This comes hours after the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) delegation left the country after a two-day visit to Kabul. 

During the visit of the delegation in Kabul, the main roads ending to government offices, including the presidential palace were closed to traffic for security purposes.

Wazir Akbar Khan area which is also know as the green zone was closed during the stay of the delegation in Kabul.

Hours after the UNSC delegation left Kabul, a rocket landed in the highly-fortified area in the city which had no fatalities.
