The Salang Pass, one of the country's main routes, was closed to traffic due to heavy snowfalls and snow storms, the director of the Salang Pass Maintenance, Gen. Rajab said on Saturday.

Rajab urged passengers to avoid traveling through the pass as long as the storm ends.

This comes after recent snowfalls and snow storms closed many highways across the country.
