Dozens of Taliban insurgents attacked Afghan security forces check posts late Sunday night in Arghandab district of Zabul province, local officials said.
Arghandab district governor Barat Khan, confirmed the attack and said the clash between security forces and the Taliban insurgents resulted in the death of one local police, one ANA solider and two policemen. Four security forces were also wounded. Khan said.
He said the Taliban captured one police check post and seized security forces weapons.
However Taliban also suffered casualties in the attack but there was no exact number given on their casualties.
