Taliban Pushed Back From Baghlan-e-Markazi

Ministry of Defense (MoD) said the Afghan National Security and Defense Forces (ANDSF) on Sunday launched an operation against the Taliban in Baghlan-e-Markazi district of Baghlan province and have seized control of the Taliban’s deployment and administration center.

According to the MoD, Qaisar Khil, Kok Chinar, Naw Abaad and Deh Araban villages have been cleared of Taliban in the district.

TOLOnews journalist, Sharif Amiri, reporting from Baghlan-e-Markazi district said most of the civilians have left their homes in the region.

The operation has been conducted by commandos and police special forces. 

Taliban are still in parts of the district fighting with the security forces and the operation is ongoing to clear the entire area, officials reported.
