Travel Ban Slapped On Intercontinental Hotel Staff

The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) on Saturday imposed a travel ban on four people from the Intercontinental Hotel following a preliminary probe into the coordinated attack by the Taliban last month which left more than 40 people dead.

Foreign nationals were also among the victims. 

The four people who have been banned from traveling include the owner of Kabul Balkh Security and Safety company along with his deputy, the head of Intercontinental Hotel and the hotel’s American security manager.

The Kabul Balkh Security and Safety company had the contract to provide security for the hotel at the time of the attack. 

A source told TOLOnews that the investigation into the incident is still ongoing but that the findings will be made public in the near future.  

The attack on the Intercontinental Hotel continued for 17 hours and resulted in the death of at least 43 people.
