A recent report by the Independent Joint Anti-Corruption Monitoring and Evaluation Center (MEC) shows that the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has only implemented small parts of the recommendations made by the watchdog organization.

MEC officials said there is a need for more reforms in the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum to overcome corruption.
