BAZAR: Mismanagement of Water Resources Discussed

Officials have warned that unless water resources are managed properly, settlements in some areas in the country will in future not be possible.

CEO Abdullah Abdullah on Tuesday warned that settlements in some regions of the country will not be possible in future if action is not taken to safeguard the country’s water resources. 

He said that although the ministry of water and energy and other relevant institutions have launched a number of programs to tackle the issue there is still a need for collective efforts of all institutions and the people to overcome the challenge.

In this episode host Zarmina Mohammadi discusses the topic with Fahima Azim head of the central zone for the ministry of water and energy. 

Mohammadi also discusses the increase of exports with Hamid Sultani, a businessman. 

In addition, Mohammadi discusses the issue of a road construction contract, relating to Samangan province, with Mahdi Rohani, a spokesman for the ministry of public works.
