At least seven provincial centers are facing high security threats.

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) confirms that cities such as Farah, Ghazni, Faiz Abad, Trinkot, Kunduz, Maimana and Pul-e-Khumri are under Taliban pressure. However officials said that the security forces are committed to defending these centers.

In a recent development, the Taliban have launched offensives on Jaghato and Zanakhan districts of Ghazni where over 50 security force members were either killed and wounded.
