At least 18 Daesh militants and three civilians were killed in a U.S drone strike on Wednesday morning in Achin district in Nangarhar province, read a Nangarhar governor statement.

The strike was conducted in Taryali area in the district which killed 18 Daesh fighters - including thier designated commander Hamza and thier designated local judge Haji Mohammad and wounded five others, the statement added.

According to the statement, three civilians were also killed in drone attack.

Meanwhile, Nangarhar education director Mohammad Asif Shinwari said a school principal and a teacher are among the civilians killed by the strike.
