2,000 Hectares Of Grabbed Land Recovered In Kabul: Governor

Kabul governor Yaqub Haidari on Saturday said that at least 2,000 hectares of land was recovered in Kabul over the past 10 months.

He said that more than 7,000 hectares of land was prevented from grabbing.

Haidari said work construction of at least 1,400 illegal buildings was stopped.

“A mafia system was established which was supported by lawmakers and even people from parliament administrative board. There is no fear to name them,” said Haidari.

Haidari said at least 2,400 people were arrested by police and 60 militant incidents were prevented.

Some lawmakers meanwhile said they support the new move of the Interior Ministry on releasing list of wanted individuals.

“We support the serious and law-based initiative by the Ministry of Interior in fighting terrorist groups, criminals and organized crimes,” said MP Arif Rahmani.
