Five People Freed From Taliban Prison In Kunduz

At least five people were freed from a Taliban prison in Kunduz province by the Afghan Army’s Special Unit, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement on Friday.

The statement said that the individuals were imprisoned in Taliban jail in Chahardara district for the past few months and that they were freed in an operation by Afghan Army’s Special Unit in the province.

The statement said that four Taliban fighters were arrested in the operation.

Taliban has not commented on this report.
