Ghani To Inaugurate Key Projects In Paktia

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani left Kabul on Sunday for Paktia province where he will inaugurate a number of key projects, the Presidential Palace said in a statement. 

According to the statement Ghani is in Paktia to inaugurate the Paktia sub-station power project, the Gardez-Zurmat Road, a new housing project and a new Paktia industrial park, as well as the new police headquarters building. 

On arrival in Paktia, Ghani was welcomed by local officials, security personnel and tribal elders.

He also met with security officials to assess the situation.

He ordered security officials to ensure through mobilization and proper planning insurgent hideouts in the province are eliminated.
