The designated head of a so-called Deash department for “commanding good and forbidding evil” was arrested on Tuesday by security forces in Yaghi Band in Haska Mina district in Nangarhar. 

Nangarhar police media office said in a statement on Wednesday that two others Daesh suspects, who were escorting the Daesh member, were also arrested by police forces.

The statement said Nangarhar police were conducting a search operation in Yaghi Band area in Haska Mina district and stopped the two suspects who were taking the Daesh member to a stronghold of the group in the province.

According to the statement, the Daesh member was dressed in women’s clothing in order to reach his destination.

The statement said the Daesh member and two others are in police custody and an investigation is underway.
