Political Group Calls For Peaceful Commemoration Of Martyrs Week

Members of Afghanistan Green Trend at a ceremony on Friday called on the people to avoid creating disorder in the city during the commemoration of 16th anniversary of the National Hero Ahmad Shah Massoud’s assassination and the Martyrs Week on Saturday.

Members of Afghanistan Green Trend (AGT), said no one in the city must be subjected to any harassment and no hurdle must be created for the people during the commemoration of Massoud’s assassination.

The political group staged a rally in the city and laid a wreath at the Minaret of Resistance in Wazir Akbar Khan in Kabul’s PD15. 

“Our people are united and they will defend the country as the National Hero did,” said Wahid Hamza, an AGT member said.

"Our suggestion to our friends is to hold the ceremony peacefully without disturbing the people," Daryosh Mohammadi, another member of Afghanistan Green Trend, said.

The supporters of Afghanistan Green Trend donated blood to the Afghan security forces in a move to respect their sacrifices in defending the country.

"We donate our blood to those who sacrificed their lives to defend the country and the people," said Abdul Munir Sangi, an AGT member.

The Martyrs Week and the 16th anniversary of Ahmad Shah Massoud’s assassination will be honored officially on Saturday.
