At least two people were killed in a blast close to a registration center in northern Baghlan province on Wednesday, local officials confirmed.
In addition, two other people were wounded.
The blast took place at about 11am local time in Khwaja Alwa village in Pul-e-Khumri city, center of the province, after explosive devices, placed close to the door of a registration center, were detonated, according to officials.
“One policeman and an employee of the Independent Election Comission (IEC) were killed and an employee of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) and a civilian were wounded in the blast,” officials said.
However, the officials did not provide further details.
In the meantime, a source confirmed to TOLOnews that six people were killed in the blast.
No group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the blast.
