Some artists have opened galleries in different parts of the Kabul city to introduce modern methods of arts to the people.  

Mohibullah Attaee, an artist, said he has displayed his artworks of new methods in the galleries. 

“Art can have big spiritual impacts on the people,” said Attaee. 

Attaee said he uses abstraction method in his artworks which is a modern way of painting.  

“I think it is a kind of fighting. We do not sell much here, but I want to promote art,” Attaee said. 

The galleries have turned into a place where artists produce new pieces and sell them to art lovers. 

“Some people are interested in arts, even if they do not come in, they watch from window,s” Hamidullah, a designer said. 

The art of painting has a long history in Afghanistan and even some researches say the first oil painting was made in caves in Bamiyan province. 

In addition to paintings in Bamiyan caves, Afghan well-known artists such as Kamaluddin Behzad and Ghulam Mohammad Maimanagi indicate that art and painting have been practiced by artistes for long time here.
