FARAKHABAR: New ID Cards To Be Rolled Out Soon

The registration and biometric process for issuance of electronic National Identity Cards (e-NIC) has resumed after a two-week delay, but no date has been specified for printing of the cards, aspokesman for the e-NIC office Rohullah Ahmadzai said Monday. 

According to Ahmadzai, so far over 600 people have registered and their information has been entered in the database, but no final date has been specified for printing the cards.

Ahmadzai said President Ashraf Ghani will be the first person to have his card printed and then the printing process will start for people.
