MEHWAR: IEC Completes Recounting Of Kabul Votes

The Independent Election Commission (IEC) on Monday said the election management body has wrapped up the recounting process of votes for Kabul province and IEC staff is now processing the data registration of the results.
 
The IEC said the election commission will announce the election results for Nangarhar, Paktia and Baghlan provinces within the next few days, however election results for Kabul will be delayed once again.
 
The IEC said the registration process of presidential election candidates began on Saturday.
 
So far the IEC has announced election results for 29 provinces. But the final results will be announced once all electoral complaints are investigated by the Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC).
