In this program, host Karim Amini has interviewed Atta Mohammad Noor, former governor of Balkh and a leading member of Jamiat-e-Islami party, about Afghanistan’s key issues including the Consultative Jirga on Peace, the next round of Moscow talks, the upcoming presidential elections, and developments in the peace process.

In this interview, Noor says the agenda of the peace Jirga has already been specified and that it is aimed at extending the term of the national unity government.

He says they reject the Jirga and that they will not participate in it.

Meanwhile, Noor says the Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah is not Jamiat’s favorite for the upcoming presidential elections.

He says that they are the decision-makers in the peace process, not the national unity government.

According to him, they will attend the next round of peace talks in Moscow, with or without the Afghan government.
