WARZISH: Afghan Athlete Wins Silver In Swimming Championship

Abbas Karimi, an 18-year-old disabled Afghan swimmer, won the silver medal in the World Para-Swimming Championship in Mexico City on Tuesday.  

Karimi won the medal in the 50m butterfly event and will compete later in the 50m freestyle race.

With this win, Karimi would have his chance to participate in the Tokyo Paralympics Games in 2020.
