Families and students of Afghan-Turk schools in eastern Nangarhar province gathered on Saturday and said Afghan-Turk Schools have become a victim of politics.

The families, along with their sons and daughters who are students at Afghan-Turk schools in Nangarhar province, came together at the Afghan-Turk High School and said the Afghan government should make its stance clear regarding the Turkish government’s insistence that the schools must fall under its control. 

The Independent Election Commission claims that elections-related activities are not among government’s priorities and that leaders need to take the matter seriously.

Drawing up a voters list, determining constituencies and bringing reforms within the election commission are key to holding transparent elections, the IEC said.
