Balkh Man Builds Power Generating Device

In a bid to help countless people around the country who do not have access to electricity, one Balkh man has built a device which produces 12 kilowatts of power without consuming fuel or water.

Sayed Nader, 47, is a graduate of science from a university abroad.

Nader spent three years to make the device. He has used Iranian, Pakistani and Chinese parts and said he has invested 70,000 AFs in the device.

For me, Nader said, the device could help residents in rural areas access power.

“The idea to build the device came to my mind when the lack of electricity became a routine for us,” he said.

The device which is about one meter long, has four components, including a control box.

The builder of the device called on government and national investors to support him financially to make a bigger device with a higher capacity.

Analysts said the device will change people’s lives in rural areas if government helps the him with his invention.

“People’s economy will improve if such devices are built and sent to other provinces and even to other countries,” said Sayed Ali Shah, a university lecturer.

“This device should be made inside the country and it should be sent to the local markets and sold at a reasonable price,” he added.
