Captains Say Teams Are Ready For APL Final

The captains of the Afghan Premier League’s finalists Toofan Harirod F.C. and Shaheen Asmayee F.C. said at a press conference on Wednesday that their teams are ready for the finals.
 
The match will be held on Thursday night at the Afghan Football Federation stadium in Kabul and is the culmination of a month-long annual league tournament.
 
“We are ready for the match and fortunately no athlete in our team has been injured. We are going to the grounds for victory and we will be the champions,” said Sayed Mohammad Hashemi, Asmayee’s captain.
 
“We have a good technical team which has helped us to get good results and we will be the champions of this season,” said Naweed Nadim, Toofan Harirod’s captain.
 
So far this year, the two teams have faced each other three times – two victories for Shaheen and one for Harirod.
 
On Tuesday, Toofan Harirod F.C, representing the western zone, beat De Abasin Sape 4-0 in theirsemi-final match in the 2018 Rahmani Foundation Afghan Premier league (RFAPL) football tournamentin Kabul. 
 
Toofan Harirod will now face defending champions Shaheen Asmayee on Thursday night in the finals.
 
At a press conference on Wednesday, both teams said they were ready for the finals.
